Cavite: Cradle of Revolution - A Heritage Tour

Last November 26, 2011 - We went to Cavite, the Cradle of Revolution.

The first destination was Aguinaldo Shrine in Cavite.

Cavite (Filipino: Kabite) is a province of the Philippines located on the southern shores of Manila Bay in the CALABARZON region in Luzon, just 30 kilometers south of Manila. Cavite is surrounded by Laguna to the east, Metro Manila to the northeast, and Batangas to the south. To the west lies the South China Sea. -wikipedia

The Aguinaldo Shrine is the national shrine located in Kawit, Cavite in the Republic of the Philippines, where the independence of the Philippines from Spain was declared on June 12, 1898.[4] To commemorate the event, now known as Araw ng Kalayaan or Independence Day, a national holiday, the Philippine flag is raised here by top government officials on June 12th each year. The shrine is now an open museum open to all visitors. - Wikipedia

Before going home we went to see Marriot Hotel Manila. Ms. Liz had a short lecture on the types of rooms in Marriot and she led us also to one of the rooms in the hotel. She guided us to the Marriot Cafe, Spa, Gym and swimming pool. We had a glimpse at Resorts World Manila also.

The tour wouldn't be complete without food. The group had a sumptuous buffet lunch at a nearby Filipino Restaurant.
