AAHRMEI Turns 11

The Association of Adminstrators in Hospitality Hotel and Restaurant Management Educational Institution celebrated its 11th year anniversary last Dec 1 to 3, 2011 in Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila. It was participated by 220 Deans, Presidents, faculty members, owners of institutions all over the Philippines. The recently concluded event was spearheaded by Dr. Baken Siy the Oranization President.

The successful event was entitled "Directions and Future of Philippine Education: Potential Impact to Current Curriculum". The speakers were Dr. Cordova, Dr. Habijan, Dr. Ruiz and Ma'am Balagtas all from distinguished institutions.

The objectives of the Convention were as follows;

1. Identify the direction status of hospitality education.
2. Cope up with the fast changing international standards of the industry.
3. Enhance knowledge and skills of faculty towards a standardized instruction.
4. Elevate the program as a respected and desirable profession.

During Day 1 and 2 the repected speakers from the academe and industry gave their presentations.




We also visited the St. Michael's Ship Negros Navigation-Superferry and met the owner/CEO Mr. Sulficio Tagud Jr.



An ocular visit to the 5 Star hotels in Metro Manila was done on the Third day. Resorts World Manila and Genting Academy were also visited.
