Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Bali Indonesia and Singapore! A Whole Lot A learning Fun and Lovi'n....

Indonesia is referred as the largest archipelago which has 17,508 islands. I enjoyed the tour in Indonesia. Jakarta is the first destination. It is the capital and the largest city of Indonesia. It is located in the Northwest of Java. I have felt the warmth of the people in Jakarta especially upon welcoming of the Hotel employees of Aston Cengkareng Hotel and Conference Center The hotel is newly established in 2010. It is a three star hotel yet what made it special would be how the employees treatment for their guests. I was so amazed by the bellman, I gave him a tip but he refused to get it. I was toured inside the hotel by the Hotel Manager. Aston is a hotel and a conference center. Weddings and special events can also be done in the hotel. It also have a nice Lobby lounge and a café with free wifi-access and good food. The rates of the hotel are reasonable and worth your money. A sumptuous buffet breakfast was prepared in the morning. The food in Indonesia is delicious, it is a bit like our food. Some popular Indonesian dishes such as nasi goreng, gado-gado, sate, and soto is omnipresent in the country and considered as Indonesian national dishes.

A. Nasi goreng, literally meaning "fried rice" in Indonesian and Malay, can refer simply to fried pre-cooked rice, a meal including fried rice accompanied with other items, or a more complicated fried rice, typically spiced with tamarind and chilli and including other ingredients, particularly egg and prawns.

B. Gado-gado is a traditional dish in Indonesian cuisine, and is a vegetable salad served with a peanut sauce dressing, eaten as a main dish. It is widely served from hawkers carts, stalls (warung) as well as in restaurants both in Indonesia and worldwide.

C. Soto, sroto, tauto or coto is a common dish to be found in various regional variations of Indonesian cuisine. It is a traditional soup mainly composed of broth, meat and vegetables.

Bali

I love Bali although I love Boracay Philippines more. I studied the Spa in Bali. It has natural Spa oils and natural treatments and massage. Receiving a massage is a pleasurable and beneficial experience. According to your body-mind needs, it can be healing and nurturing, bring clarity and balance, release tension and promote inner tranquility, detoxify and stimulate circulation, refreshing and relaxing.

Transportation

The transportation in Indonesia is a bit expensive. It costs 110,000 rupiah or more from the airport to the destination. It is advised to rent a scooter or rent car might be cheaper.

Indonesia is a Buddhist and Muslim country and most f the people wear Batik clothes, pants or dresses for women rarely would you see them in shorts or sandos.

Yogyakarta

I had my stay in a hostel. I knew friends from Germany, India and the United States. The MSA Green Garden Bed and Breakfast is a nice place. It is a home away from home. It has its kitchen and living room. Breakfast can be cooked or ordered. A garden outside hostel makes me feel like I am home. Indonesia is like the Philippines also. A plane ride from Bali going to Yogyakarta is like flying from Manila to Cebu. Yogyakarta is the smallest province in Jakarta. I toured the Sultanate Palace, I also come to see the highest temple Borobudur. Borobudur is one of UNESCO’S world heritage site.

A visit to different hotels was done also.

Yogyakarta

Borobudur, or Barabudur, is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist monument near Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The monument comprises six square platforms topped by three circular platforms, and is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. A main dome, located at the center of the top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues seated inside perforated stupa.

The monument is both a shrine to the Lord Buddha and a place for Buddhist pilgrimage. The journey for pilgrims begins at the base of the monument and follows a path circumambulating the monument while ascending to the top through the three levels of Buddhist cosmology, namely Kāmadhātu (the world of desire), Rupadhatu (the world of forms) and Arupadhatu (the world of formlessness). During the journey the monument guides the pilgrims through a system of stairways and corridors with 1,460 narrative relief panels on the wall and the balustrades.

Singapore

Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is an island country off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, 137 kilometres (85 mi) north of the equator, in the Southeast Asian region of the Asian continent. It is separated from Malaysia by the Straits of Johor to its north, and from Indonesia's Riau Islands by the Singapore Strait to its south. A city-state, Singapore is the world's fourth leading financial centre and a cosmopolitan world city, playing a key role in international trade and finance.

Singapore is a nice place. It is a business and disciplined country. I noticed a lot of cameras in Singapore. It is said that SG is a safe place even at night. The law in SG is very strict, no smoking in areas told, no bubble gums and no littering. I was overwhelmed on how Singaporeans were taught to be so disciplined. I couldn’t see shanties and litters on the streets.

It is a well managed country. The cost of living in SG is very high. I could say it because one Starbucks coffee costs double. I liked the Lucky plaza I have seen a lot of Filipinos there. I found also food made from the Philippines.

I was like tutuban and divisoria here in the Philippines. I also come to visit Vivo City – this was like Greenbelt here in the Philippines. I have noticed that gadgets in SG is cheaper. “Eating is a national pastime in Singapore. Furthermore, with the variety of places to enjoy this pastime, it is no surprise at all if the phrase "eat to your heart's content" had originated from Singapore. Malay, Chinese, Indonesian, Peranakan, Indian, Thai, Japanese, Korean cuisine, and more compete one another in the "battle of the taste buds"! On top of that, there is Singapore's vast array of hawker stalls and restaurants that range from global franchises to gourmet delis to posh six-star settings.” – mari.com
