SYNOPSIS : AT 4:00 AM TODAY, TROPICAL DEPRESSION ”JUANING” WAS ESTIMATED BASED ON SATELLITE AND SURFACE DATA AT 130 KM NORTHEAST OF VIRAC, CATANDUANES (14.5°N; 125.1°E) WITH MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS OF 55 KPH NEAR THE CENTER.
IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE WEST NORTHWEST AT 17 KPH.
FORECAST: NORTHERN LUZON AND THE EASTERN SECTIONS OF CENTRAL AND OF SOUTHERN LUZON WILL HAVE OCCASIONAL RAINS WITH GUSTY WINDS. VISAYAS AND THE REST OF SOUTHERN LUZON WILL EXPERIENCE CLOUDY SKIES WITH SCATTERED TO
WIDESPREAD RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WHICH MAY TRIGGER FLASHFLOODS AND LANDSLIDES. MINDANAO WILL BE MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH SCATTERED RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.MODERATE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING FROM THE NORTHEAST TO NORTHWEST WILL PREVAIL OVER NORTHERN AND CENTRAL LUZON AND COMING FROM THE NORTHWEST TO SOUTHWEST OVER THE REST OF LUZON AND THE COASTAL WATERS ALONG THESE AREAS WILL BE MODERATE TO ROUGH. ELSEWHERE, WINDS WILL BE LIGHT TO MODERATE COMING FROM
THE SOUTHWEST WITH SLIGHT TO MODERATE SEAS.
